Good afternoon to everyone. I am writingthis on Fern's cmputer instead of mine because I haven't found the cord to plug mine into and she doesn't have wifi. Typing on it is an interesting experience because it doesn't feel anything like mine.
The move went very smoothly I thought. I was able to do more than I had thought I could, so there was no lying around watching others work for me. Just for Wayne. He went with them to the storage unit and he had fun I think. Unfortunetly they were unable to find some of the things we really wanted here, but we will go back in a few weeks and get the rest,
We got here so late last night. Ray had been on the road since five and I imagine Fern and Bob were on the road by six. It was very quick trip. Glenda came with Ray, so you can imagine how tired they all must have been when we finally got here.
Wayne and I started out traveling together but at our first stopping point. which was Moses Lake, WAyne and Glenda traded, and she drove me in our car and Wayne went with Ray in his brand new uber comfortable car. He had a great time talking to Ray and spending time with him, and I enjoyed both the treat of being driven and the company. By the end of the drive, Glenda was finishing my sentences with the exact wording I was formulating in my mind.
This moring everything was unloaded. I told them to wake me up, but there are some readers out there who know that waking me up can be a real challenge. Wayne tried, but not very hard. So I got out of unloading. I will unpack a bit, but I want the move to Miaaoula to be easier.
Today, Donna shows how well she knows her brother. He our on the deck, enjoying the gorgous scenery. Please excuse my typos and spelling errors. My computer screen for them. but tis one isn't. Oh well.
Oh and mone more thing: our cells don't seem to ber working here. I will send Fern's mumber via email.
I do know my brother, and am so glad he is home. Thanks to everyone who sent their prayers to Sharney. We went to the service today. It was difficult of course, and all the prayers helped. It is so comforting to know what a strong and compassionate family we have.
ReplyDeleteSo Wayne, I hope that the Chemo doesn't give you as hard of a time as the first one did. I will be thinking of you, praying, and keeping in touch. Hope you can relax and enjoy the crisp autumn air. Love you much!!!
So glad your move went well. I wish I was sitting on the deck with you Wayne. Good thoughts coming your way. Love and Hugs, Karen
ReplyDeleteWe wish you were here aitting on the deck with Wayne too, Karen. Both of you! Wayne is so incredibly happy to be home. And I am happy to be here as well. Fern and Bob are so great to put us up amd do it happily. We feel blessed that Wauyne has this large, womderful family. And the chemo didnt knock him on his butt as much this time because he has recovered from the radiation. He got hit with chemo last time at about the same time that radiation knoecked him on his butt, so he's better. Now if we can only get him up to Alaska for a week or two! Once we get in an apartment of our own, I will start saving money for us to go up there.
ReplyDeleteWayne, I am so glad to hear that you are doing better this time around. There is no doubt that being home helps, added to the fact that you didn't have the radiation to deal with. I know that you are truly enjoying yorself. Dorthory from the Wizard of OZ was right, there's no place like home and I am so glad you are there.
ReplyDeleteAnd Barb, thank you for taking such good care of my brother. He means the world to me. Love You both!!!
You are welcome! But it's not an effort. He IS my world now that Mandy has grown up. Of course I love her too, but Wayne is my everyday world.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home bro. And you too Barb, welcome to Montana. This will make it so much easier for you both with all of us here to help. I will call tomorrow and set up a date to have coffee on the deck with you. Fern said you might go to Missoula one day this week. Wayne you will amazing at all the changes in the hi-way. Can't wait to see you guys. Love ya and see you in a few days.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to it, Carol Ann, and thanks for the welcome. I am very glad to be here. I am sick though so I am not going anywhere but to the pharmacy and hospital for repaeat bloodwork. I knew I was sick. I was sick when we moved. I have bronchitis and asthma, but it kind of got away from me yesterday and I landed in the ER. (Amanda if you're reading this don't flip out. My asthma gets away from me sometimes, even if I am doing everything right, and I was.) They gave me an option of staying in the hospital. The PA told Fern he could make a case for it, but who wants to be in the hospital??? NOT ME!! So I hung out in the basement watching old videos last night--it's too hard to do the stairs--and used my nebulizer every two hours.. I actually feel better today. They have me using the neblulizer every two hours rather than the every four I was using it by giving me some plain albuterol to use every other time. One more day on this regimine and I should be fine. Wayne needs to be into Missouloa to see the oncologist by Friday, and preferably on Friday. I haven't called down yet to find out about it, but honestly, I feel so much better that I will probably go rather than having Fern take him. However, we will just go for the day.
ReplyDeleteMore than enough about me. Wayne is so happy to be home and he seems to be doing really well. It sort of caught up with him yesterday afternoon too and he slept for about four hours. So he stayed up till 11 watching movies with me. I think he'll be a new man by the weekend! So Carol Ann come on down if that works for you. We are anxious to see you. And I haven't met your husband so I am looking forward to that as well.
So Wayne, just heard that you are back in the hospital. Sure hope your stay is very short. The hospital is no where to spend your time. Fern's deck in much more preferrable. I'll check back in with you after work. Try to rest and get OUT of there.
